TGIF Tunes!

Yes, yes… it’s that time again, kids: Time for TGIF Tunes! I’ll ask a question about music and answer it by posting some of my favorite songs.

This week I gave five answers — it was hard to choose! A lot of great songs fit this category. Want to listen to each tune? Just click on the title and it will play. We’ll have our own listening party.

Here we go…

Name a song you like with a number in the title.

1. Adele — One and Only

2. Commodores — Three Times a Lady

3. B.B. King — Sweet Sixteen

4. Christina Perri — A Thousand Years

5. Bryan Adams — Summer of ’69

I hope you like my selections. If you can think of some more songs, be sure to leave a comment and let me know!

Happy Friday, my friends…

TGIF Tunes!

YAY! It’s Friday — time for some music! I’m going to do something a little different this week. I’ll ask myself a question about songs and give three answers. The fun part is, if you click on the title of the song, it will play for you. We can have our own little listening party!

This week’s question is:

Name a song you like with a color in the title.

1. Tommy James & The Shondells — Crystal Blue Persuasion

2. Booker T. & The MGs — Green Onions

3. Prince — Little Red Corvette

I love all of these tunes. Do you have any favorite songs that mention a color in the title? Feel free to list them in the comment section!

I hope my selections get your weekend off to a great start. More again soon, my friends.

TGIF Tunes!

I absolutely love music of all genres, so it was an easy decision to dedicate at least one blog entry per week to it. What better day than Friday? This could really set your mood for the weekend, you know.

This week’s selection is an 80’s tune by Marshall Crenshaw, “Someday, Someway”. It’s bouncy, high-energy and really gets you moving. I find it odd that I don’t remember liking it when it was originally released, because I love it now. I bet you will, too!

Give it a listen…

And that is your first TGIF Tune. I hope you enjoyed it!
