Weekend Catch All

Not too much going on right now, so this post is going to be a collection of bits and pieces of things that happened this past week. Here we go…

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Are you in the mood to treat yourself to something nice? If you are in the market for shiny little jewelry items, have I got a deal for you! Lisa Leonard Designs is having a 30% off sale on EVERYTHING site-wide! She’s calling it her “Bigger Than Black Friday” sale. I tell you, I could not resist — I bought myself a dainty 14kt gold stacking ring with a tiny blue sapphire in it. It’s so cute, I can’t wait to get it.

The sale just started but I don’t know how long it will last — so if you are interested, you better hop to it!

The first dusting of snow this week has me thinking of the holidays. We’ve made the decision not to put up a Christmas tree this year because of the kitten, Zoe. We *know* that she wouldn’t be able to leave it alone — she’s just that kind of cat. She’s the 6th cat we’ve had and the wildest, most curious one so far.

None of our other cats even thought about messing with the tree. The most they would do is drink the water out of the tree base. Zoe, on the other hand, would be biting light wires, knocking down ornaments and climbing her way to the top the very first day. It’s best that we sit this one out and hope that by next Christmas she won’t be so rambunctious.

Don’t let her innocent face fool you. She’s a little pistol!

Friends, I don’t know how to say it gently, so I’ll just spit it out: My Chicago Blackhawks are sucking the pipe so far this season. We’re 6-7-3 right now and I don’t see things getting better for a while.

This week there was a major shake up in the staff as head coach Joel Quenneville was let go. He was replaced by Jeremy Colliton, who at 33 is the youngest head coach in the NHL today. There is hopeful talk going around that Colliton will be able to relate better to the younger players on the team and light a fire under their asses to get them moving.

I suggest he starts with the defense, because it’s very, very weak. Right now it’s just brutal to be a die-hard fan and watch them play.

Alright, kids, that’s all for now. I hope your weekend is fun and you get to do some things that you love. I’ll write again soon.

XoXOOXOox ~
