A mini (yet heartfelt) rant.

I like my music as loud and rawkin? as the next chick.
But so help me, if Marsha the Ghetto Ho of the Sucky Neighbor Clan does not shut off her !@#$% rap bullshit noize right NOW, I am gonna run next door and bitchslap the living fuck out of her.
It?s going on 11:00. This has been going on for hours. She?s probably surrounded by her girl-posse — AquaNetta, Tamponica, and Vagisila — and they?re all drunk as hell. Maybe they are celebrating Marsha getting her driver?s license re-instated. Maybe it?s a baby shower? (Please,God ? no!)
I swear, even in the winter with all the windows shut tight, that bitch is a nuisance.
Must. Plot. Revenge.
Word up.![]()
(Santa, please look the other way.)
An observation.

Exhibit B: Your typical Arkansas mansion.

Conclusion: Hahahahahaha!
Oh, the delicious irony. Bless Bubba’s good ol’ boy heart. His sacred “legacy” remains intact.![]()

Actually, we got back late Saturday afternoon; I just needed a day to recuperate from the holiday madness and travel.
I have to say, this was the best Thanksgiving I?ve had since my childhood. Everyone in my family was in a good mood and relatively healthy, the food was incredible, the weather cooperated, and there was no frantic running around in an insane attempt to be in a million places at once. For once, it was a relaxing holiday.
Even Daddy Bill was on his best behavior. He didn?t start any arguments about politics until much later in the day, after my older sister and her family had left for home. (Seriously, a mere 20 minutes after they were gone, he was bashing Dubya and trying to bait me into a squabble. I just kept deflecting his attempts by saying, ?Yeah, you could be right about that, Dad.? He really wasn?t sure how to handle it. Hah! Argument denied! )
Probably the best part of the whole trip was reconnecting with my older sister, Laura. She called my folks’ house after she got home to let everyone know they arrived safely ? and she asked to talk to me. When I got on the phone I was surprised by the way she told me how good it was to see me again, and then she opened up and shared a bunch of personal stuff with me. To be honest, I am still trying to process everything she said. I?m also trying to decide how much of it I should reveal here in the blog. It was that touching and ? God. I can?t even find the right word for the feeling.
I’m not even sure what else to say about it.
I think I should probably just keep it to myself for awhile until I figure it out. (Thanks for understanding, my friends.)
Agent J and I were also happy to discover that Randy and Maizey did not go completely apeshit while we were gone. In fact, it appears as though they didn?t do anything but eat, sleep, roll around in catnip, and take the occasional poop - in the proper place - once in a while. This leads me to believe that Randy only resorts to nasty brat-cat mode when he has a disapproving audience who will shriek in horror at his acts of daring-do. (Maizey, however, is always an angel.)
Maybe if we start practicing now we can develop a convincing ?Go ahead, you?re not bothering us,? facade that will keep him from mauling the Christmas tree every 20 minutes simply for attention.
Riiiiiight.
I am so prone to wishful thinking.
Another thing I discovered over the long weekend: apparently people freak out and will buy anything they possibly can on eBay during the Thanksgiving holiday. In the past few days I?ve sold stuff that I haven?t been able to move for weeks. Stuff I planned on donating to charity if it didn’t sell this time around. So much stuff that it will take most of this afternoon just to get it labeled and packed for shipping.
What the hell is that about? I can?t figure out if people are Christmas shopping or if they are simply holing up with their computers, avoiding their dysfunctional families, and trying to pacify themselves with impulse shopping.
Very strange phenomenon. Which I will definitely take advantage of by putting a ?Buy It Now!? option on all of my auctions from now until December 31st.

More later, my friends; I’ve got to get busy here. I hope you have a great Monday. ~ ~ ~
Hitting the road in the morning.

Hotel reservations. Check.
Dinner rolls. Check.
Camera. Check.
iPod (my little spot of sanity.) Check.
Strength to refrain from arguing politics with family. Check.
I think that?s it! Now the only thing left to do is cat-proof the house?
Ha! Aaaahahahahaha! I crack myself up!
Judging by Maizey and Randy?s spazzy attitudes about our brief trip to ?Soo Siddy,? this place will be an absolute shambles when we return. I?m saying a last farewell to some of my houseplants this evening.
Nonetheless, we are excited about the trip. We are thankful to have a chance to spend time with our families, and definitely thankful that there isn?t 10 feet of snow on the highway.
Be well. Love your people. I’ll talk with you again on Saturday night!

Forgive me. I couldn’t come up with a better title for this entry.

You Are the Stuffing |

I’ve been hoarding websites for you. See?
Lots of unusual and funky stuff. Maybe a good place to start your holiday shopping!
Cool gifts made from recycled objects.
This page is wild! Look for the Barbie wearing a dress made from a radish. Impressive work!
Mine is “Michael” by the Highwaymen. Gotta look that one up…
Oh, ferchrisssakes. WAX THAT THING!
I always fear that there is one of me floating around out there…
Some parents need a good, old-fashioned ass-kickin.
Cat Haiku! My favorite is this one:

I have no idea where this link came from. Really.
Ok, I know that’s a whole heap of links there. But you don’t have to go through them all right now. Maybe you can save some for after Thanksgiving dinner… when you are too full to do anything but point and click anyway. Hee.
Tomorrow is going to be busy. I’m making whole wheat and white dinner rolls to take to The ‘Rents place on Thanksgiving. It’s really about the only thing on the menu that we can haul long distance and not have it spoil on the trip. Well, that and a big, honkin’ bottle of wine.
Which may not make it half-way across the state before the cork comes out.
How are your holiday plans looking? (And *HUGS* to my Canadian friends… did you have a good Thanksgiving last month, eh?)
