Random thoughts. (Because that’s all I can manage these days.)

June 30, 2005 | 2 Comments

It’s Thursday, right? I don’t even know anymore. My brain is one big blur right now.

According to her close friend who emailed me today, my older sister is still having some serious problems. However, my mom called tonight (after having talked with my sis last night) and she said she’s doing fine – and even had a few happy stories to share about her.

I didn’t tell Mom what I learned today because I didn’t want to freak her out. Apparently, my sister isn’t being completely honest with her — and yippee! — now I have to cover for my sister, too.

:swear: I HATE THIS.

I am confused, pissed off, and have several modes of thought running parallel at moment and it’s driving me fucking nuts.

Not that I can actually do anything about my sister’s situation. Except pray for her, offer emotional support, and kick her in the ass if it’s warranted.

I’m telling you, I’m starting to think it is warranted.

Random thought out of left field:

Tom Cruise needs to shut the fuck up. NOW. He needs to pull the hamster out of his ass, marry that dipshit Katie, and slink off to that cult he’s a member of and become a guru to MORONS WHO GIVE A FUCK.

Seriously, talk about over-exposure in the media! He is everywhere, and I am sick of seeing and hearing him. Whatever smidge of sex appeal he may have possessed at one time is not enough to save him now. Every time he opens his hatchet-faced cakehole I want to kick him in his so-white-they-glow-in-the-dark teeth.

Gawdamn couch-jumping fucknut. I sincerely hope this latest lunatic spree of his ruins his already shaky career.

When it does, I hope Brooke Shields calls him and laughs in the phone, too.

Whew. That felt good.

That little rant felt like a bad gas bubble that’s been dying to escape for about a week.

Now, where was I? Oh yeah…

I drove to Galena, Illinois today and went shopping for supplies for my latest cross stitch project. It’s a wedding sampler for my niece and her husband – I think if I work diligently, I can get it finished by the time school starts this fall.

It was so nice to get out and wander around the town a bit, though I did get tired much sooner than I expected. It hasn’t even been a month since the surgery yet – sometimes I forget that because I am feeling so much better than before. But there’s nothing like a sudden attack of post-op fatigue to bring one back to reality.

Fresh air, sunshine, exercise, and a bag full of embroidery supplies – yep, that’s my recipe for a nap these days, kids.

(What a puss.)

And now, a public service reminder from Randy and Maizey…

I know! It’s unbelievable, isn’t it? And I think the stores will be putting up the Christmas displays next week. Are you ready?

Hearin’ it: The latest news on the Natalee Holloway case. What a mess.

Readin’ it: Research material for my Women Artists in History class.

Lovin’ it: Cooler weather is on the agenda for tomorrow!

Hatin’ it: Living so far away from my sisters. :sigh:

Moan-day

The ‘Rents left yesterday – my brain is still a bit blurry from their visit. Even though it was fun to have them here, there is no way around it: when you are an adult, being with your parents for 5 days in a row is hard mental work.

And when it’s my parents? Well… :eyebrow:

Let’s just say, I slept for 13 hours straight last night, and only ventured out of the house today to spend an hour on my shrink’s couch yapping about how the past week went.

I think I feel another marathon sleep-in on the schedule for tonight!

The weight loss thang is going well. Today marks one month since the beginning of the pre-op eating regime and I have now transitioned into eating soft foods. I’ve lost 40 pounds, but was told to expect a little “bounce back” or gain while I am in this stage. (Apparently most people will pick up a few pounds after they start eating more solids and before their first “fill” of the gastric band device.)

Pffft. That’s alright with me. I know it won’t stick around very long anymore.

Is it hot where you are? It’s like a !@#$% sauna here. I’ve been in the air-conditioning so long I completely puss out if I go outside. It’s driving me a little bonkers to be sitting inside with the mini-blinds down all the time. I thought of going to campus and working this week, but I know it’s hotter than a two pecker billy goat there. (Cheap-ass school! I need COOL in order to work!)

Maybe the heat will break soon. Like around… October.

Whacko Jacko Update!

Michael Jackson is feeling a little better these days. Since his acquittal he is slowing returning to normal. Here is a photo snapped of him over the weekend as he was out doing some shopping…

That’s all for now, my friends. Have a great Tuesday… and keep cool!

Hearin’ it: Randy’s incessant yowling. I think he misses his playmate, Big Daddy Bill.

Readin’ it: Clothing catalogues!

Lovin’ it: I can now play my iPod for 8 days straight and never repeat a song.

Hatin’ it: Liquid Prozac. I bet rat piss tastes better. :yuk:

They aren’t that hard to figure out.

You Have Your PhD in Men

You understand men almost better than anyone.

You accept that guys are very different, and you read signals well.

Work what you know about men, and your relationships will be blissful.

How Well Do You Understand Men? Take This Quiz!

It’s really quite simple.

Love them.
Feed them.
Listen to them.
Play with them.
And let ‘em sleep when they need it.

You do that and you’re all set.

Basically most men are like bigger, furrier babies. I guess that pretty much explains their fascination with boobs, too, doesn’t it?

OK, friends… Mama Dory and Big Daddy Bill will be arriving in about 2 hours and will be staying for a 5 day visit.

Either you won’t see many updates during this time… OR …

This blog will become my only source of refuge and I will be posting a few times a day just trying to keep myself from GOING INSANE.

Man, I sure hope they like cream of tomato soup and popsicles.

Pre-occupied with things that sizzle.

Sweet charbroiled Jesus, I’m going nuts. I’ve been on the liquid phase of this eating plan for nearly 3 ½ weeks now. The windows are wide open and everyone in the neighborhood is grilling huge slabs of meat for Father’s Day.

I’m giving it another week, and then some sacred cow shall become my din-din. Until then, Randy, Maizey and other small critters better keep their distance.

I have a fork and I know how to use it, people!
