The Friday Five… Good Friday edition…

1. If you could eat dinner with and “get to know” one famous person (living or dead), who would you choose?

Bob Dylan. i think it would be fascinating to talk with him about art, music, politics, and his concept of God. in my opinion, Dylan is an absolute genius. the world has yet to fathom the extent to which he has changed us with his mode of thinking and artistic contributions.

2. Has the death of a famous person ever had an effect on you? Who was it and how did you feel?

the events surrounding John F. Kennedy’s death are some of my earliest memories. i was just a toddler, so they are very fuzzy in some ways, very clear in others. i recall seeing images of the funeral procession on television, then seeing my mom crying. it was the first time i had ever seen her do that, so i am sure that why it’s etched into my mind. i recall feeling like my whole world had been turned upside down by something on TV.

3. If you could BE a famous person for 24 hours, who would you choose?

Jack Nicholson. i know it may sound weird to choose someone of another gender for this question; but just think of all of the things one would learn from that experience alone! i guess i just imagine that ol’ Jack has an interesting tale to tell on just about every subject. so, yeah… i’d be Jack for 24 hours and i would throw a huge, wild party and invite everyone i knew just so i could relive old times and have flashbacks. hahaha.

4. Do people ever tell you that you look like someone famous? Who?

Peppermint Patty. i am serious! i think it has something to do with the Birkenstocks. and the haircut. and, ok.. the general shape of her body.
5. Have you ever met anyone famous?

yep. Jesse Jackson, Newt Gingrich, and NHL hockey goalies Ed Belfour and Curtis Joseph. Jesse smelled the best and was incredibly well manicured. Ed had piercing blue eyes that could stop any warm-blooded woman in her tracks. ~swoon~

i also had a close brush with Hillary Clinton once but the secret service agents got to me before i could do anything drastic. (sorry, America.. i tried my best.)
