Hi mamboers! Today’s Mambo theme is Kiss Your Mate Day:
1. Name five good songs about kissing.
2. What song would you most like to kiss to?
Thanks for Mamboing!
Mary Chapin Carpenter - Passionate Kisses
Everly Brothers - ‘Til I Kissed You
Steam - Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye)
Louis Jordan - Knock Me A Kiss
Beyonce - Still In Love (Kissing You)
Hall & Oates - (Your Kiss Is) On My List
REM - At My Most Beautiful (Never Been Kissed)
Manhattans - Kiss and Say GoodBye
Betty Everett - It’s In His Kiss
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Suck My Kiss
Leon Redbone - When I Kissed That Girl Goodbye
Michael Buble - Kissing a Fool
Mel Carter - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me
Ray Charles - I Wonder Who’s Kissing Her Now
And, at this moment… I think I would most enjoy kissing to this song:
I’ve always liked that one. Probably because it makes me feel 15 again.
That’s it for this week’s Mambo, my lovely kittens. I enjoyed it and I hope you did too!
Here’s a nice quote to end this post:
Release my body with your lips, and stir my soul with the heat of your kiss.

Got something to say?

I’m always amazed at by our similar musical tastes. I mean, who else would have Billie Myers, Diana Krall, Prince, Lita Ford, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Michael Buble on the same play list? Too much fun! (I do love the Tom Jones cover of the Prince “Kiss” too though- don’t tell anyone, k?)
“at by our”? Makes you worry for my children, doesn’t it? *sigh*
Christineeeee! *HUG*
I know, we’re a like in lots of ways. ‘Cept you make your smilies with the equal sign and the parenthesis. =) Hehe. (I notice and remember everything…)
I love the Tom Jones cover, too. I tend to like everything he sings - I think it might have something to do with the plums he’s always smuggling in his pants while he sings, though.
*hum-a-dah-hum-a-dah*
When I was about 10 years old, I remember seeing my Mom and all of her sisters drooling over Tom Jones on TV once - they were dancing around like go-go dancers, too - and I just couldn’t figure it out.
Now I get it! He makes me drool and babble “at by our at by our…” AHahaha!
Great mambo! Thanks! I’m also old enough to remember and appreciate Bread. In fact, I loved their song “Aubrey” so much, that when I was grown up and pregnant, I swore if the baby was a girl, I’d name her Aubrey. I changed my mind because everyone thought I was saying Audrey, and the only Audrey I could think of was Audrey Meadows from the Jackie Gleason Show. I told my girl this once and had to laugh because she made a face, so some things really do work out for the better. Heh.
With me, it’s generally more hugs than kisses that linger there in the memory… so that the song seems to hug you when you hear it…
That’s why stereo was invented
