Well, it’s unreal but it’s also totally true.
I answered the phone the other day - expecting it to be one of those !@#$% Democrat campaign workers who I could gleefully tell to go toss Hillary’s salad - but I was amazed to hear something even MORE annoying on the other end.
It was a recorded message that said:
“This is So-and-So Telemarketing calling to verify your phone number. We look forward to talking with you at a later date.”

when I lived in town one of my numbers got so bad I just made it a dedicated modem line because of all the telemarketers.
Here in Britain, you can get yourself put onto a “no-call” list - this exists in the USA as well.
